The sun is still shining, even though we don't see it

Dear friends and family,

Gray days, rainy days, cold days.........it must be January! Praise the Lord for the promise of spring.
Dan was able to have his chemotherapy treatment on Tuesday even though his platelets did not come up to the desired level. His doctors are now thinking that it would be better to extend his treatment cycle from 3 weeks to 4 weeks in order to allow his platelets to achieve a normal level. He is scheduled for another CT scan on the 22nd and will take that up to to Stanford on the 25th for his appointment with his doctor. As soon as we have any info we will let you know. By the way, my mom continues to make excellent progress in the healing and strengthening of her fractured hip. Thank You Lord.

2 Corinthians 1:2-4
Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort,
who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction,
with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.
