Finally out of surgery

After 14+ hours of surgery Dan is out and in the ICU! The tumors were very difficult to resect, (cut out) and the doctors had to take it very slowly and carefully. They removed about 10% of the liver in the left lobe plus doing the Whipple procedure. The doctor said the next surgery will also be long, probably in 2- 3 months to let him fully recover. He lost very little blood. The anesthesiologist who left around 4:30 said Dan was taking the procedure very well and is very robust. Please pray that there will be NO post op complications like pancreatic enzyme leaking. Remember to keep Ashley in your prayers too. It is hard for her not to be with Dan tonight. Pray he will get out of ICU and she can be with him.
