Dan is in the hospital tonight-again

I know you are all wondering about today - here goes. Dan's white cell count was 500 this morning and he was running a low fever, so off to the hospital we went. He is on IV antibiotics and getting a drug that stimulates his WBC to increase. We are doing what we can and praying hard. This is not an unexpected effect of chemotherapy. It is just a very scary one since right now his body can't fight the microbe onslaught that we all normally fight all the time. Please please pray. It seems like this is one battle after another and Dan is so courageous and patient. It breaks a mother's heart.
My verses today:
Blessed is he who has regard for the weak;
the Lord delivers him in times of trouble.
The Lord will protect him and preserve his life;
He will bless him in the land
and not surrender him to the desire of his foes.
The Lord will sustain him on his sickbed
and restore him from his bed of illness.
Psalm 41:1-3
