On their way

They (Dan, Ashley and Jessica) are on their way to Biola. Please pray for guidance and strength in the coming days. Dan looked better last night but mornings are always a bit difficult for him. I received this note from a friend who is a surgeon that has worked with the Voice of the Martyrs, an organization that helps many Christians around the world who are being tortured and incarcerated and sometimes murdered for their faith in Jesus Christ:

As I served with VOM I saw many patients who had also suffered greatly.
They taught me a lot as they suffered not from a "natural" disease but from
the disease of hatred and cruelty. They were hated and abused, yes, even
tortured, because they bore the name of Jesus Christ and they refused
to reject Him. Many are lying in prisons, as I type, with no amenities and
not surrounded by loved ones and friends.
Can we stop for a minute and pray for these brothers and sisters?

May we not take for granted the freedoms we have and do what we can to help others who do not enjoy these basic freedoms.
