Day 17
Dear Army of Warring Prayers: Carry on the good work! Dan's endoscopy looked great - no active bleeding and the stent is in place. One unit of blood is in and Dan is getting and MRI of his head and spine. Let us pray it is clean. One more unit of blood tonight and tomorrow round 1 of chemo. Please pray we can get some of this tumor combating juice into his body and start destroying all these nasty cancer cells. Dan already seems better after his one unit of blood and his lab work looks much better today than yesterday. Thank you LORD!

Hello to the Howen family and Dan's gf. I am the mom of Sam Evje (18) and Tim Evje (22) both of whom went to Jim Elliott. Just got the news from Mrs. Henry regarding Dan's cancer diagnosis and just had to let you know I care and that our whole family will be praying for Dan's complete healing. Also for courage, hope, patience, faith, and peace for the whole family. I'm a mom and an oncology nurse who wishes Dan a good day tomorrow with his first day of chemo. Tell Dan he'll still be gorgeous even if he loses his hair and in addition they have great meds to control nausea and vomiting, so not to worry. I truly believe God will use this situation for His glory. And pray always. Your faith will sustain you, I promise. Count the Evje's as additional prayer warriors for the duration of the fight--Love, Kathy Evje
To Dan and his family, my thoughts and prayers are with you each and every day. I believe Dan can overcome this huge obstacle that he now faces with grace and courage. Just remember "I can do everything through him who gives me strength"
