this is jessica, dan's sister.
well danny and mom and ashley are headed back to standford for probably a couple days to investigate why his bilirubin (some sort of lab value for the liver) is up. i believe they are doing an mri, which is why they have to go to standford and not stay at lodi memorial, since lodi is not yet equipped with such magical devices. his white blood cell count is still low and he is at a delicate stage of health. he is being transported by ambulance, which i hear is not quite as exciting as it may seem, but for dan's sake, i hope it is. morale is just about as low as dan's white blood cells, but the good news is that matt is coming home from his chinese adventures tonight! we have all missed him sorely, especially me. dad and matt and i will probably be joining everyone in stanford tomorrow for the mri party.
do i need a verse? i think my mom would be both grieved and vexed if i did not include one. you may not need these verses right now, but someday you might. they helped me through some rough spots. thanks for reading.
Thus my heart was grieved,
And I was vexed in my mind.
I was so foolish and ignorant;
I was like a beast before You.
Nevertheless I am continually with You;
You hold me by my right hand.
You will guide me with Your counsel,
And afterward receive me to glory.
Whom have I in heaven but You?
And there is none upon earth that I desire besides You.
My flesh and my heart fail;
But God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.
-Psalm 73:21-26
